A native of the Amman Valley, Aled is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, during which time he was awarded several scholarships. He is a regular guest artiste throughout the UK on both the concert and oratorio stage.
He is a Classical Brit Award Winner and former member of Only Men Aloud who won BBC’s Last Choir Standing competition, and also had a number of successful album releases.
Aled has toured extensively across the UK, Europe and America. His radio and television credits include Friday Night is Music Night, Later...with Jools Holland, Last Night of the Proms, Children in Need, Heno and Noson Lawen. Other highlights include performing at the Royal Variety Performance (London Palladium) and at the 2010 Ryder Cup Opening Concert (Millennium Stadium).
He recently performed the World Premiere of Mr. Dahl alongside Michael Sheen and Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra at St. David’s Hall and also reprised the role of Dewi in The Hidden Valley with Operasonic.
